1. Make it. Grow it. Fund it.

2. To culminate a three-week fundraising course for food businesses, the Food Craft Institute is partnering with The Mixing Bowl, Slow Money Northern California, and Food Funded to host Food.Fund.Fest – an entrepreneurial pitch competition for producers of quality food held in conjunction with the 2015 Eat Real Festival.

Each pitch will feature one food business, showcasing what they were able to learn and practice during the course. A panel of food industry and funding experts will judge each pitch, awarding the most viable business with a prize package that will assist ongoing funding efforts.

4. Food Craft Institute: Food Craft Institute is a professional development, non-profit educational institution that combines classroom and hands-on education to teach traditional food-making techniques and the entrepreneurial skills needed to build viable businesses.

Slow Money NorCal: Slow Money NorCal catalyzes the flow of capital to local food systems, connecting investors to the places where they live and promoting new principles of fiduciary responsibility that “bring money back down to earth.”
